Chapter 2: Fighting Fire With Fire

                                                                                                                                  Narrator:

     "Looks like I've won already" Raptura said in a shrill voice. "you can't even save your girlfriend."
     "Ha!" Aiden said as if victorious. "That is where you are wrong. You see she is not my girlfriend."
     "Still doesn't mean you've saved her." Raptura said while sighing at Aidens idiotic comment. "Well I guess I should finish her off now so I can focus on you." He said cutting into Ellixandrias' throat.

Just before Raptura could kill her though, the ceiling above him fell in shining light down on him Aiden had been secretly using a single thread to slowly work away at the roof. (poor Orion almost fell into the hole). Raptura quickly retreated back into the shadows away from the light.

     "Thanks." Ellixandria said while wiping some blood off of her neck.
     "Don't be to grateful." Aiden said standing back to back with her again. "Thanks to me opening the hole in the roof there is more light which also means more shadows."
     "True but we can take him easily." She said taking six knives out and placing them in between her fingers.

There was a rattling coming from Aidens' left. He sent out five threads from his left hand to stab all of the dark that was in that direction. It was to no avail Raptura wasn't there. Ellixandria threw three knives from her right hand at a moving object to her left.

They didn't hear the knives land, they knew where he was. Aiden turned his sword into a naginata and stabbed at the darkness blindly hoping to hit him. It did the trick, but instead of hurting him, Raptura slithered up Aidens' weapon. Aiden quickly took the naginata apart and shot the threads that it was formed from into the light.

They heard Raptura groan in pain and he dripped off of the threads then slithered off into the darkness again.

     "Crap" Aiden said while regrouping with Ellixandria. "how're we supposed to beat him when he can just slide off of our weapons?"
     "I don't know." Ellixandria said taking out three more knives to replace the one's she threw. "We need to keep him in the sunlight somehow."
     "Oh if only I had thought of that before." Aiden said in a sarcastic tone.
     "Hey at least I'm thinking proactively and not being a negative Nancy."
     "Just shut up and look for him."
     "Fine fine." Ellixandria said while blowing her hair out of her face.

Aiden heard sliding on the floor in front of him. He sent out threads that went to the floor and scooped up a giant shadow and crashed it through the hull of the ship.

     "You can't escape this time." Aiden said to Raptura through the wind and with an insane smile on his face. "If you try to slide off you will fall down to earth. If you slide up my threads you'll be met by a hole in the roof with more sunlight."
     "You're done Raptura." Ellixandria said standing shoulder to shoulder with Aiden. She began to laugh and Aiden joined her in this.
